DESCRIPTION:
APW - E. Howard & Co, Boston, Series VII, N-S (just over 19S), heavy 14K gold original Dueber HC, gold cuvette engraved "From The Citizens Bank New Ulm Minn to W.F. Seiter," white enamel SS dial, umbrella style hands, SW-SS, gilt mvt, s#207144. Gross weight of assembled watch 83.7 dwt (130.2 g). An excellent example in heavy gold case showing hardly any wear. W.F. Seiter served as cashier for the Citizens' State Bank between the years of 1892 and 1899 before becoming second vice-president of the bank between 1899 and 1903.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some haze of gilt surface which is most notable in the area around the word "Howard" and in the area outside the escape wheel jewel setting; dial with hl at 7, fine scratch inside minute chapter at 8:30; excellent hands, minute with some oxide and finish loss to its umbrella and tip; case shows hardly any wear, small scratch to cuvette at top line of presentation engraving, no dents or dings, crisp engine turning detail; tight bow, crown shows very light wear; glass crystal with mild fine scratch at center.
